Supported file formats

CSV (.csv) - all plans

Plain comma-separated values files. Must have a header row as the first row. UTF-8 encoding is recommended. Files up to 10 MB are supported.

Excel (.xlsx) - Pro

Microsoft Excel workbooks. SheetForge reads all visible sheets. The first row of each sheet is treated as the header row. Formula results are read (not formulas themselves). Merged cells are flattened.

Your Excel file is read when you build the app; edits made in the app do not change the file. Use Export in the app to download the current data as an Excel file.

Google Sheets - Pro

Public Google Sheets can be imported by pasting the sharing URL. Connected accounts (via OAuth) can also import private sheets and multi-tab workbooks.

Limits

• Free plan: first 500 rows used
• Pro plan: unlimited rows
• File size limit: 10 MB

What if my file has multiple sheets?

For Excel files, SheetForge automatically detects all sheets. A tab bar will appear during the review step so you can include multiple sheets in your app. Each sheet gets its own view in the generated app.
