How SheetForge handles your data

Security & Privacy Updated 05 Oct 2026 26 views

While you build (generator page)

When you build an app on the generator page, your file is processed in your browser. SheetForge does not store your spreadsheet data during this step.

Shared and saved apps

When you share or save an app, the rows you share are sent to our servers and stored, encrypted at rest, so the link works. Our servers are in the UK. The data is deleted when the app expires (Free shared apps stay up for 30 days; Pro apps stay up while you subscribe), when you delete the app, or when you delete your account.

Google Sheets access

If you connect your Google account, SheetForge stores your Google OAuth tokens, encrypted. We ask Google for read and write access to Google Sheets and read-only access to Google Drive, which we need for private sheets and write-back. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account settings.

Who else sees your data

Our sub-processors are Stripe (payments), Google (Sheets, OAuth and Google sign-in, if you use them) and our UK hosting provider. No AI service processes your data.

Your rights

We handle personal data under UK GDPR. To ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted, email hello@sheetforge.ai. See our privacy policy for full details.
